Voice lessons are as individualized as each student that walks through the studio doors.

I have been privileged to help students “find their true voices” for 27 years now! Singing and teaching voice has been an amazing life journey and I love to learn and share with students each lesson. I bring years of performing and teaching experience with the Washington National Opera, a Masters Degree in voice performance from the University of Maryland, intensive study in the Broadway Belt with Lisa Popeil, and my philosophy that singers are true healers to each student.

Suzanne’s enthusiasm and dedication to educating herself and others is infectious.” Placido Domingo

My students have performed in venues such as The Metropolitan Opera, Washington National Opera, Broadway, Off Broadway, ‘The Voice’, and major recording studios such as Atlantic Records. I developed the YogaSing Method which combines Yoga and Voice and addresses the Physical Body, Energy Body, and Spiritual Body in relation to the voice. In lessons, the YogaSingTM Method is highlighted and Classical Singers, Broadway Belters and Rockers all benefit from my years of vocal pedagogy study!

Suzanne holds a master’s degree in voice performance from the University of Maryland and was a resident singer and yoga teacher for the Washington National Opera for 25 years and has over 30 operas in her repertoire. She continues to teach for the Washington National Opera’s Summer Institute and regularly presents YogaSing and “The Art of Wellness for Singers” workshops to universities, opera companies and conventions both in the United States and abroad. Her newly implemented YogaSing teacher training gives teachers the skills they need to bring yoga and wellness into the voice studio at a new level. She now has included the genre of chant music to her repertoire and her first album entitled Shunia will be released in 2017.
